If your kid likes apples and a spread, these monster mouths are such an easy way to make snack time feel spooky. Thin apple slices make the lips, and little pieces of cheese become the teeth. Every monster comes out with a different goofy grin. 🍎
They’re best made close to serving time so the apple stays crisp. For a school lunch, keep the pieces chilled, use a little lemon juice if your child likes the taste, and check the classroom allergy rules before choosing a spread.

Ingredients
Method
- Core the apple and cut 4 thin, wide slices. Pat the cut surfaces dry. Brush lightly with lemon juice if using.
- Spread seed butter on one side of each slice.
- Press several small cheese “teeth” into the spread on 2 slices. Top each with a second apple slice, spread-side down, leaving the cheese visible at the front.
